Wine Tasting at Antinori in the Chianti

Nestled in the Chianti landscape, about 45 minutes by car from Florence, the Cantina Antinori in the Chianti Classico is a high energy-saving structure overlooking the surrounding countryside where Sangiovese grapes are grown. Here it is possible to experience delights of the senses by enjoying an itinerary that is architectural, gustatory and emotional at the same time. Various tasting itineraries are available: from the simpler one, for those approaching the world of Marchesi Antinori to the more complete one, which includes a tasting of seven wines and lunch at the “Rinuccio 1180” restaurant, located on the roof of the Cantina. To complete the visit, it is possible to visit the “Futuro Antico” space, where a part of the family collection is exhibited. The Antinori Family has been dedicated to producing wines for more than six hundred years, managing the activity with innovative choices, though still respecting traditions and the territory.

You can explore the estate on your own book a guided tour: The guided tour includes a trip through the wine world and history of the Antinori family, all briefly illustrated in the Cinzia Th. Torrini's short movie dedicated to the family, "The Antinori: vintners since 1385".

The tour moves from the outside to the inside of the winery, permitting to see the great spiral staircase, the vineyard covering the winery roof and the vinification and aging areas.

At the end of the tour a tasting of some typical labels from the estates: Vermentino (Bolgheri DOC), Cont'Ugo (Bolgheri DOC) and Villa Antinori (Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva).

If not in Tuscany, do come visit us in Singapore’s Cluny Court and Tangs where our new winter collection has just arrived!

With sunny greetings from Italy and „alla prossima volta“!

Yours,
